Warm welcome from Hughes Ellard at key property networking event

More than 100 property professionals gathered at a Southampton bar for a Friday Frolicks - the sector’s traditional end-of-month social gathering.

The event, organised by Southampton Property Association (SPA) and held at Revolution in Bedford Place, was sponsored by regional commercial property consultancy Hughes Ellard.

Russell Mogridge, a director of Hughes Ellard and a former chairman of the SPA, said: “This was a good opportunity for members to chat informally and share market intelligence.

“The turnout was superb and there is definitely a sense of renewed optimism in the air as the economy starts to pick up, albeit very slowly.”

Hughes Ellard also unveiled new-appointment Nix Cox. He joins the firm’s six-strong business space agency team, operating out of the firm’s Southampton office at Ocean Village.

Nik, who will be working on instructions and deals in Southampton, was previously with UK property consultancy King Sturge in the city for seven years.
