Serving up business aces

Britain’s former number one tennis player served up some top coaching tips for a dozen business professionals in and around Southampton and Portsmouth.  

Chris Wilkinson, former world champion for over 35s and director of tennis at Lee-on-the-Solent Tennis, Squash and Fitness Club, put them through the paces before a series of quick-fire doubles matches.  

The event was jointly hosted by Hughes Ellard and tax advisers and accountants CW Fellowes.  

Russell Mogridge, a director at Hughes Ellard, said: “This was an ideal way to network informally while picking up top coaching tips from Chris.”  

The event attracted developers, lawyers, financial advisers, accountants, bankers and financiers.  

Companies taking part included Southern Co-op, State Securities, Argentis, Coffin Mew, Trethowans, Verisona, Paris Smith, NatWest and Lloyds TSB.
